Just like the Sharpe’s Rifles books are to Gaunt’s Ghosts, the Flashman series is to Ciaphus Cain (Hero of the Imperium).

Gettin’ my Napoleonic wars on watching the Sharpe’s Rifles TV series. Each ~Hour and a half long episode is based on one of the books in the series, which incidentally is what the 40k series Gaunt’s Ghosts is based on. I am a big Ghosts fan already, and I’m really enjoying the Sharpe series now.

For serious, I am like 99% sure that my printing of the manual said “space rouge scoundrel”. Regardless of my memory’s accuracy I am now picturing Fox in killer makeup as he saves the galaxy.<3

That is literally one of my favorite parts of the story though:
