Just like the Sharpe’s Rifles books are to Gaunt’s Ghosts, the Flashman series is to Ciaphus Cain (Hero of the Imperium).

Gettin’ my Napoleonic wars on watching the Sharpe’s Rifles TV series. Each ~Hour and a half long episode is based on one of the books in the series, which incidentally is what the 40k series Gaunt’s Ghosts is based on. I am a big Ghosts fan already, and I’m really enjoying the Sharpe series now.
All the episodes are on youtube too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEoReJ7WmMI&feature=endscreen&NR=1
My two most favorite things to come out of Belgium (though there are some Belgian beers I dig quite a bit too).

Wish I was a space rogue scoundrel.I miss this series so much.(T-T)

Don’t tempt me, I’ll draw him in full kabuki dress.
“Lol so yeah Slippy is worse than useless btw”
I mean yeah, but he was also supposedly their mechanic, and hey, HE COULD TELL YOU THE BOSS’ HP LEVEL! (atleast in 64, I think showed up even if he got shot down in the original)
It was outdated, biased, and completely stacked with false information. She recognizes me as the biggest gun-person in the school, so she; for extra credit, let me take the packet early, re-write it, write some new questions, and add some more statistics/graphs that I…
how dare you imply that poor people in early 19th century France, during a period of crop failures and high food prices, would have had a different diet, and generally different body types, than poor people in modern day america FUCKDAMMIT U THIN PRIVILEGED SCUM
That is literally one of my favorite parts of the story though:
“Javert: Valjean, at last, we see each other plain. Monsieur le Mer, you’ll wear a different chain.
Jean Valjean: Before you say another word, Javert, before you chain me up like a slave again, listen to me. Fat people can be starving or food insecure too. I did not check my thin privilege before, but now I understand!
Javert: You must think me mad! I’ve hunted you across the years. Men like you can never change, a man such as you… ”
